Central Park Housing Scheme Extension is declared illegal by LDA. So it is advised that buyers should avoid buying property in illegal Housing society which is not yet approved by LDA, otherwise they will be held responsible for their losses.



FOLLOWING a large number of public complaints against illegal housing societies, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has initiated necessary legal action against 109 illegal housing schemes.

Officials said the LDA initiated this action under LDA Act-1975 and warned the general public to restrain from making any kind of transaction(s) in illegal housing schemes. They said except LDA no other Authority or Town Municipal Administration/Tehsil Municipal Administration or any local bodies or any other government agency is authorised to approve any private housing scheme/land sub-divisions in Lahore Division after 19.09.2013

They said sponsors of housing schemes and land sub-divisions were not allowed to develop the scheme without approval of Lahore Development Authority. Sponsors are not allowed to advertise any scheme or project prior to formal approval by Lahore Development Authority and after the approval of the scheme/land sub-division, the sponsors are not allowed to advertise the scheme without getting a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Lahore Development Authority.

Officials said that launching/development of scheme without approval of Lahore Development Authority and publication of advertisement without obtaining NOC from the LDA are illegal actions and punishable under Lahore Development Authority Act 1975. They said LDA carried out a survey besides collecting land record from TMAs and after scrutiny the following 109 housing schemes/land sub-divisions were found illegal. They said LDA had initiated necessary legal action under LDA Act (1975) against these schemes.

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) said on Monday that a diplomatic enclave would be developed at its newly-launched residential project -- LDA City -- where consulates, resident missions and offices of various countries would be established.
“Apart from a central business centre the LDA City will have 47,700 residential plots. We will allocate a separate and secure piece of land for the development of a diplomatic enclave where we desire that various countries should establish their consulates general, resident missions and offices,” LDA’s Additional Director General (Housing) Ammara Khan told this to a group of 48 probation officers of the Pakistan Administrative Services who paid a study tour to the authority as part of the 38th specialized training programme.
Briefing about the LDA’s scope of work, especially in the housing sector, Ms Khan said that 11 per cent of over 60,000-kanal residential project was consisted of parks and greenbelts.
She said the scheme would be fully computerized and there would be a transparent balloting of plots.
She said the LDA was spending over Rs320 million on the computerization of other schemes, including Johar Town. “LDA City’s designing and planning task has been given to a renowned firm that has already been engaged by the Sindh government for master planning and designing of the port city -- Karachi,” she added.

39 Kilometer Elevated Expressway from Thokar to Phool Nagar

The proposed plan will cost Rs. 11 Billion and will be completed in 2 to 3 years. According to details 39 Kilometer long elevated expressway will be built from Lahore (Thokar Niaz baig) to Phool Nagar to mitigate the pressure of traffic. Chief Minister Punjab has approved the proposal.

According to sources, LDA has proposed and Shahbaz shareef has accepted the proposal to built a 4 lane elevated expressway from Thokar Niaz beg to Phool nagar. The existing multan road will be broadened as well. Land will also be acquired in order to build the elevated expressway.

Phoolnagar , (previously, Bhai Pheru) is a city in Pattoki Tehsil of Kasur District in Punjab, province of Pakistan.

It lies on the N-5 about 58 kilometres (36 mi) away from Lahore the capital of Punjab Province.
